Which… Which! Makes me positively giddy to announce that today I’m stepping back into the kitchen to test a whole buncha new recipes to share in the weeks to come. There’ll be more sweet potato goodness (as if this and this … Read More

Huevos con Soyrizo with Two-Potato Hash

First, a reminder: have you voted for the Pig & Quill in Cook Taste Eat’s Facebook contest yet? Voting closes Friday, and I am dreadfully behind, so if you could pull out all the stops and convince everyone know you to vote, that’d be great. Well I’ve got some good news, reader friends — I made the first cut! And now we reach the hard part. In order to realize the grand prize of cooking/filming with Michael Mina, my … Read More

Enfuso Smoked Olive Oils (Live, from my sofa, it’s Saturday night!)

So it’s Saturday night, of a long weekend, no less, and what am I doing? Sitting on the couch in a dimly lit living room eating yet another Brussel sprout salad (this one, I promise you, is even better than the last) and bathing in the whitish glow of my laptop screen. (MacTanning, I’m calling it. Great for creating that bloodshot look.) Is this what I’m putting off kids for? When did this happen? Moreover, why do I like it so much? Am I the only one that gets just a little high off quiet solo nights at home? And … Read More
